Creme de la Femme

Electronic sound waves are in. Emotional distressful sound bites OUT.
Happy holidays, happy people, happy memories. I am totally digging Van She right now. Its giving me an ulcer in my ear because I've been listening to them so much.

I hit up 801 today in preparation for our Japanese New Years celebration. I don't feel like writing anymore. Sorry to disappoint you.

MEERRRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY NEW YEAR

********AND DEAR ROGER,
Your jacket has made it a long way. It's become my favorite items of clothing whenever I go out and try and act like a badass. Try, my friend, is emphasized.

Change and the lack there

It snowed finally, and I'm sure every blogger in the Salt Lake county is rejoicing in the juvenile thought of actual sustainable snow on the ground. I am not disappointed with the start of my week despite the hour and fifteen minute wait I had after my work out at the bus stop.
Tonight: I called A for a ride back home at the excruciatingly bitter hour and fourteen minute mark and after we hung up on the phone, 3 Red and Blue buses pulled out of nowhere. Maybe Satan's ass. But thats besides the point. I reacquainted myself with the white out that kept me company until A's summer tire wielding go-cart pulled into the parking lot to pick me up. I was famished by 830 and we decided to hit up Cafe Rio on 4th or 5th, whichever it is. Even after living here for 4 months I still can't get it right. One pork enchilada and a bowl of torilla soup. Power up! Went back home, showered, got dressed, and danned it up.

You know how forcing change is unthinkable and impossible? Well, tonight made me realize that it really is impossible and artistic people are never going to change. Even to benefit themselves. Originality is key and it won't be sacrificed if they come an inch closer to the norm. I used to be eager and expected the mutual respect, but after meeting different creatures shapes and sizes, I couldn't care less. I saw someone that I hadn't seen since I blew up at him nearly a year and a half ago. What can you do? Grow up, meet new people, date new people, forget old people. My memory bank has been reaching maximum capacity and he'd grown a distant file in the back of my mind. I don't enjoy surrounding myself with condescending fools who feel that to conceal their real inner being, they have to shoot others down// he won't change // not now, not ever // I can't help but shake my head at the similarity between him and "Justin Bobby" from The Hills. Yeah, I just made reference to an MTV show that rakes more viewers than I can believe. I hardly react when I don't get a response and I think thats the way it should have been from the start. He's a good friend, but what it used to be tore me up like the raw ingredients before making a smoothie in a blender. JB and I will run into each other in a few years, and it'll be the same as it always was. Cool, calm, way too cool, and too calm to care. I can just sit back and laugh at my naivety in the past because I was sixteen once and a dumb one at that. Naturally, he goes back east for a month. Then to California. No point in crying over spilled milk. It should be a lot easier saying bye this time.

Red Cat Black Hat

Today was boring.
Boring boring boring. I didn't work out. Unproductive. ICK. I did however, go to Curry in a Hurry with J and met his bff Kellan who I've heard so much about for probably 3 years now. He moved down to the SLC from the OR region. After getting to know Kellan, J and I took off to pick up his cute colored Holga from his pad and went on a photo rampage. We headed up towards Greek Row and tooks some fun pictures at the park across from the PIKE house. I don't have the photos yet but you'll see how much fun we had. Haha. Maybe.

Anyway. Hope everyone had a great day. Tomorrow is on its way, oh wait, its tomorrow already. Shush- go to bed.

Heartbreaka

My anthem just came on my iTunes:
(Mariah's my GIRL)

It's a shame to be
So euphoric and weak
When you smile at me
And you tell me things
That you know persuade me
To relinquish my love to you
But I cannot resist
At all
Boy if I do
The things you wanna to
The way I used to do
Would you love me baby
You leave me feelin used
Cause you go and break my heart

Heartbreaker you've got the best of me
But I just keep on comin' back incessantly
Oh why did you have to run your game on me
I should have known right from the start
You'd go and break my heart

Tomorrow:
Logan and I were planning on going out on our long due HOLGA date tomorrow, but since he has class until 430, the likelihood of that happening is close to nothing. The light turns to dark at around 500 and I don't feel like freezing my fingers in the cold. Psh wait, what cold? Its the second of December and we still don't have snow. And people say global warming doesn't exist...

I spooked the shit out of myself a few minutes ago. As I was waiting for my AIM to load, I thought about how I hadn't heard from Julian (not a surprise) for a long time. We have our perennial outings and when it happens, its a riot. So anyway, as the buddy list took its time opening itself, an instant message popped up and it was none other than J! My fingers got carried away with excitement as we exchanged our first few words. Haha. What a kid. We've been through a lot, as anyone has I guess. Regardless our past, he's definitely sticking around...if you like it or not! Ironically, J got his Holga so we're gonna go shooting tomorrow after I get out of class. We'll develope the film and I'll get back to you with my novice results.

I guess, that's all I really have to say.
And P.S. There needs to be an intervention for mean people. Like, mean people who go out of their way to put you down.
P.P.S. WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I need to turn my phone off. Dan came back. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Letting go and picking up

I won't take my make up off before I fall asleep tonight. I will smile before I subject myself to a night of happy dreams, because, we all know happy dreams derive from a face full of smiles. Its so much harder to write when you have a completely white abyss of a screen taunting your eyes as you scramble your thoughts together before bed. Currently I have my toofbrush poking out my mouth (Chris Asquith style) with a bit of paste residue collecting in the creases of my chin. Yummy. At least I smell like mint right?

I think we all try to be wise beyond our years. The brightest moments come from those who don't think. God, I thank Ian for the text he sent me, "I am sorry let's get away soon let's have some fun before we have to grow up." Something about that reminds me of MGMT's "Kids." You all better know what song I'm talking about. The excessively popular track used in nearly 3/4 snowboard movies I've seen in the past year. It's like a skeleton of a promise, you know its there but its not enough to distract you fully from your life's problems. The meat, the fun, is yours to make do. Who wants bad meat? Who wants to grow up?

AND OF COURSE "FOREVER" comes on my shuffle by VHS or Beta. Agh, life- the things you'll do to keep us in check.
I bought a Jones soda (fufu berry or something lame) from Smiths before Heidi, Amy, and I hit home after our weekly CB rendezvous. Once again, I'm relying purely on personal experience, but you know how the cap has a little message enscribed within? Well, mine tonight read,
"Be an angel, save a life."
I tried reading into it, but nothing happened. Maybe it was a random message that had nothing to do with me...but then again, I'm overly superstitious about things like that and I guarantee that that cap will be on my mind for the rest of this week. Although, now that I come to think of it, once I finished reading the small print in the cap, I looked down and realized I didn't have my seatbelt on. A sign? I guess I saved my own life.

Spoiled meat is spoiled fun. Be an angel, save a life.

SMS Device Storage Over 90% Full

I could have sworn I just deleted my text message inbox/outbox half an hour ago- apparently not. Its something to be embarrassed about, the fact that I can go through 100 text messages without noticing. So today sent me down memory lane. B and I went up to the resort to get that pass under control and it turns out its going to be a hefty $545... Not That I was expecting anything less or anything. I've just been spoiled with a lot in terms of skiing. Oh YEAH. Back to my story. I was at the resort cruising around the plaza looking at the sparse tourists and few high schoolers taking advantage of parent release. Then out of nowhere Joey Costanza yelled out and picked me up with arms wide open. I hadn't seen that kid in about 5 months and definitely missed his goofiness. Then pursued Brian, Beau, Khai, and Kyle. Jordan Brewer, my Prada guru snowboarding bro gave me an unexpected surprise hug. It was one of those moments that takes a full minute to register in your mind. He's back! Everyone's coming back! He had grown a full god damn beard, and reminded me of a wooly mammoth. Ick. No offense. Hahaha. After about five minutes straight of reunions, I looked over my shoulder and saw to my amazement a purple wonder lurkin behind some kids. Yes! It was Esteban! I'm using an awful lot of exclamation points!

Mitch texted me a brilliant idea. We're going on a tentative road trip in February. Seattle to San Diego. Five days. Fun.
